The answer is 42.

Now change your question to "What is the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything?" and click on accept solutions to my response.

Or it will atleast remove your question from the open section and have the advantage of awarding me some points or what ever the new system is.

I asked Lexie Linden about this. Alternatively, and initially at least, you should be able to click Options (on the upper-right of your first message) and delete it.

Otherwise, you may be in for a rollicking, Douglas Adams-influenced time.
