Okay, my wife keeps getting dd5 dd10 and so on and so forth to 100.....anyone know how to stop it!!

Could you put this in context please?

Is she logged into SL at the time these [ ]Messages [ ]popups [ ]other?

If you can snap a picture of this and post it here that would be helpful as well - In Windows 7 & 8 you can use the Snipping Tool to acomplish this capture.

It sounds like some scripted item nearby (or on her) is sending a chat message -- maybe a diagnostic message that the scripter put in it while s/he was developing it.  When you see the message, click on the name of the sending object in chat and look to see where it is.  Then go to the spot and delete or disable the script.  If it's in something that you own, you may be able to stop it by just resetting the script, if that's possible.
