Need help with finding the right laptop or desktop to run SL...

I'm not good with knowing the specifications on computers for running games like SL. I.was looking for a decent laptop or desktop that isn't too expensive but will run SL with no problems. I was hoping to spend around $350 to $400 I know it might not be possible but I figured I would ask. I was hoping to find it at Best Buy but it doesn't have to be there. Any help or links to any for sale would be appreciated. Thanks.

Good luck in SL with any PC in that price range. They might run SL but you will be on low to med graphics at best and you will struggle to run smoothly on any populated or graphically intense SIM.

Yeah, pretty hopeless. You might be able to cobble together acceptable performance from a desktop (not a notebook) if you really scrimp on everything else and reserve the savings for a decent graphics card, but it would be a lot of effort.

I've not done this myself, but I've heard good things about running SL Go on quite low-end machines. Given your budget, if you have decent internet service (good bandwidth and unlimited monthly usage), you might be better off with very limited hardware (even just a tablet?) and pay those $10 per month OnLive fees instead.
