Most rentals are dependent on the number of prims, so if your houseboat is VERY low land impact then you may find a place but typically the cheapest rents (of any kind) are in the 1 linden per 1 prim (land impact now) area. Now and then there are free places but not often and mostly apartments for new folks.

Just so you know the general atmosphere.

You are going to need at least 512sqm of water or more, depending on not only the number of prims but the size of your boat.  A 512sqm will give you 117 prims and is generally 32mx16m. The next size up is 1024sqm measuring 32m x32m and gives you 234 prims.  You may find lots that are the square footage of these two sizes but are not the standard measurements I gave you.

If you can move the boat and want a mooring by sailing water like the Blake Sea, they are in high demand and will cost you more.

Most of the lower cost boot moors I know of for rent are in the 125-150 a week range and are more in the 50 prim range so more for small boats. If you have premium then buying a 512 plot of water land would probably be the best option.  If you're willing to buy an unprotected plot you may be able to find a reasonable price. Protected water land is pretty unaffordable.  There are a few land management companies that rent small parcels by the water but probably still more than you're wanting to spend
