I click on my SL icon on my desktop, it loads but then the log in window never pops up.

I click on the viewer icon on my desktop. It will run through its start up detecting Hardware, texture cache and VFS and then after that it just quits and never pops up.

What viewer do you use?  If you are using the official SL viewer and didn't update it today, that may be the problem.  That viewer had some bugs and caused a lot of problems for some people.  I suggest you download the viewer that just was released, hopefully with fixes" and do a clean reinstall.

If you are not using the Official SL viewer but a Third Party Viewer, please update your post.  We will need to see your computer specs which you can get by launching your viewer, but not logging in.  Go to HELP>ABOUT <viewer name> and copy and paste all the information from there.  Also let us know what any error messages say that you may get when you try to log in.
