Question

I wish to change my display name using ASCII fonts and symbol characters but when I try to apply my name I get the message "the display name you wish to set contains invalid characters." How can I get my display name to accept ASCII fonts and symbol characters?

thank you ツ

Come on, now.  The English language has thirty six alphanumeric characters.  There are millions of words to choose from created from these characters, plus you have the ability to make up new words of your own, such as "Forple" or "Dorfpunker".  If that's not enough, Second Life supports German, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese.

The best advice is "Don't do it." It annoys the heck out of DJs and shopkeepers.

If you really want to do it, though, try this >>> https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/ASCII-Fonts-PIMP-YOUR-PROFILE/212603

Oh, and read this >>> http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Usernames-and-display-names/ta-p/700173#Section_.2.1
