That often means that the viewer was installed improperly or was damaged during installation.  You'll need to remove the installed program and all hidden files "manually" before downloading an installing again.  Here's how >>> http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-Second-Life/ta-p/1375231

Two other quick suggestions:

1. Double check to be sure that your computer meets the recommended System Requirements for Second Life.

2. Avoid using a wireless Internet connection.  See http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Wifi-and-satellite-connections/ta-p/1296823

EDIT:  @Miku --  I assume that you have by now downloaded and installed the upgrade to the flawed viewer that was giving you trouble when you made this post a month ago.  The current Linden Lab viewer has repaired the login issue that was a problem for you and a few other residents in late October and early November.  If you have NOT upgraded, follow the instructions that I provided above for a clean "manual" install of the new viewer.

1. Check your power or graphic settings. It could cause an issue if they're too low.

2. Try uninstalling it, including every trace of it. Then try to download it again from secondlife.com. Make sure you downloaded the right version for your computer. If you use Linux, there's a download for that. Same with Apple computers.

3. Check the system requirements and recommendations SL suggests.

4. Did you have any issues while downloading it?

Good luck!
