Getting a message error 404 on the marketplace

A 404 error means that you were able to connect to the Marketplace servers but they were not able to find the page that you were trying to connect to.  I suspect that you are trying to connect to your own Marketplace store to upload items of edit listings.  If you have just created the store, don't panic.  New merchants often overlook the warning in the setup instructions that says

Warning: After creating your store, you must restart your Second Life Viewer before attempting to upload items to the Marketplace website using the Merchant outbox.

The warning doesn't say (but probably should) that you ought to wait for a half hour or so before trying to use the store for the first time.  If you are not new to selling on the Marketplace, then disregard what I just wrote.  In that case, you ought to submit a support case to Linden Lab, describing your problem.  Try the category Marketplace >>> Marketplace Item Listing Issues
