Errors with Logon in Viewer 2

On numerous occasions I have been able to logon with misspelled (Caps missing) user names while logging on with viewer 2. Yes I am certain.  Seems like a bug in the viewer.

Suggestions?

Do you mean that 'fAuBiO aLtEr' did not work on the login before and it works now? If so that that will be a bug that was fixed, login names are supposed to be case insensitive. If 'fAuBiO aLtEr' does not work now, that will be a bug!

Logon in Viewer 2

In the viewer, not here online. When I created an alt a few weeks ago, it said, "case does matter" for the user name. the error was Faubio alter <<<<<< lower case a, it should have been Faubio Alter.

If some instructions said that the case mattered on the old style avatar names then those instructions are the mistake and should be fixed.

When creating an account, case does matter insofar, as your legacy name (and thus default display name) will look exactly as you entered it on the sign up form. However, for login purposes, case of the username does not matter, nor should it.

I checked it with the spelling faubio alter and it logon correctly. For four years I've been using caps.. LOL

It's the little stuff that gets me. :-)
