Is This Really Necessary?

I have my Notifications set to email me for every new reply to the threads in which I've posted.  Up until a few days ago, that's just what I would get.  Now, every time someone edits one of their posts, I get another email for the same (albeit edited) post... is this really necessary?

I'm perfectly capable of following the link to the actual post and reading what the final version is, I see no reason to be sent so many notifications just because someone left out a comma or fixed a spelling error.

Please... if you're going to screw with the system like this, at least, give us the option, in our Notification Settings, to turn off emails being sent to us for edits in the forum, like we have for the Knowledge Base.  It really is aggravating.
