HELP! All the avatars look naked and deformed.

Can someone help me, when I come on secondlife this is what I see.

I tried uninstalling it and installing it and the same thing happens.

Looks like to me your wearing Alphas.. did you try and remove them.. and did you try wearing another shape and than trying to wear the shape your wearing now?

I tlooks to me like you are in the belleza store looking at people trying out using the mesh body there.

Go to a different location and you are more likely to see people with clothes on.,

Did you try leaving that area? It looks like you're in the middle of a bunch of avatars trying things on, which always makes people look a bit strange. Try TP'ing to a club with other people in it, and see if things look better. If they don,'t come back and let us know.

Is that you or someone else on the picture?

If that is you: You are wearing a mesh body. You can detach it if you want, or put clothes on it. Beware that mesh bodies work differently than the standard avatars! Read the information you got together with the mesh body.

 

If that is someone else: That is someone trying on a mesh body, and maybe configuring it ( no hands). If it disturbs you, you can leave the area and teleport somewhere else.

But in addition to that, I can see "spikes" from the body, and this means your hardware can not render mesh correctly. Maybe you use ATI/AMD graphics and drivers? I don't know what viewer you are using, but the advices given here should help: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/mesh_issues

What viewer are you using? WIth the spikes, looks like you're using an older viewer that can't render fitted mesh. Upgrade your viewer and those should go away. An out of date viewer is the most common cause of what you are seeing. Try increasing your LOD as well.
