I recently recieved a gift.  'mama Alpa pregnancy HUD',;  However, I didn't recieve any instructions for this.  How can I obtain an instruction note?/

Contact the creator of the HUD and ask for one.

Look in their profile to see if they have any preferences for how to contact them.  Also be patient.  Creators are not necessarily on SL every day or they may be unable to respond immediately for RL reasons, for example, illness or travel.

Other alternatives:

If the creator has a group you may want to join it and ask other members of the group for a copy.

Go to the in world store and see if you can get one there from the vendor's information button if there is one.

There should have been an instructional notecard with it.  If there isn't, you should contact the creator and ask for one.  Or, if you are mildly adventurous, you can simply wear the HUD and try pushing buttons to see how it responds.  Or -- yet another possibility -- you and the person who gave it to you can have fun exploring together.  It is sort of a partner activity.  :smileywink:
