Why can't I move my avatar forward or backward?

For the past 12 hours, my avatar has turned into a mannequin. Not sure how to procede with this issue. I cannot walk, run or fly. This is most annoying.

Reset your modem and router.  You might also clear your cache while you're at it.

Make sure you aren't wearing something that has taken your controls too. Take off any objects and huds you might have and if that sets you free - go through each one until you find out what is causing it.

There is a chance that this is a connection issue. When in world, press ctrl+shift+1 to get up the performance statistics panel, Close to the top you will find a number for Packet loss. If this number is 0.0% for the most part, you should try to reduce the bandwith set for the viewer. This is done in Me->Preferences->Setup. Reduce the number for Maximum Bandwith (I think that's it) to below 1000 to try it out. If this helps, you can increase the number, but don't set it too high.
