Mails gone after Sim maintenance?

A few hours ago i could not log in and access my home because the Viever was unable to get a connection to the Sim (i think because of maintenance). As i could log in again all my mails were gone. I had about 90 unread and several other mails. All gone.

Not sure if you are referring to 'messages' or something else but the maximum amount of messages, etc that are stored between log-ins is 25.

However there is no cap on the number that will be forwarded to your E Mail.

I am referring to this mailbox symbol in the upper right corner of the screen (at least thats where it is for me)

So you are talking about this?

You must have completed a log in if you saw you had 90?  It's been so long since I went over 25 I can't remember if it displayed a higher number.

The moment you relog it clears.  And no way to recover it in the Viewer.

Additionally, as I pointed out, even if it showed the higher number anything over 25 is capped, and the last message would have read that they were capped.  You'd never know what those were unless you had IM's to E Mail enabled.
