camera controls acting up

so recently i cleaned my cache , because my second life was acting very slow so i log on and all of a sudden im trying to get a close view of my avatar and it keeps going off and going off like literally crazy ive read some tips on these forums and nothing works its not my camera angle zooming all the way in i can hardly see but its different its like its glitching everytime i zoom i drag my zoom up and down and it says at the same place no matter how much i try all the angles its the same, im fed up

Have you tried using your keyboard controls, instead of the on-screen camera control palette?

Your mouse scroll wheel zooms.  Hold ALT and the left mouse button, then move your mouse to move your camera.

I would avoid that silly camera floater, personally.  It's awkward to use and it eats valuable screen space.  As Lindal recommends, either use the arrow keys and CTRL/Alt/Shift or (even better) your mouse:
