Shape Won't Load

My clothing won't completely load, nor will my shape. When I try to put a new shape, skin or article of clothing on it says I cannot until clothing and shape are loaded. I tried doing a rebake but it didn't help at all.

Does anyone know how to reboot the shape or otherwise get it to finish loading?

Hey, Kotty,

The reason no one has jumped all over this one so far is that there is no easy answer, nor is there only one possible cause. It could be a server issue, as in, for some reason, the server is not downloading your stuff in a timely fashion. It could be a problem with your computer. It could be a problem with your ISP.

If it happens a lot, I would take a look and make sure my system meets (at least) the minimum requirements. Also, if you are on DSL instead of cable, this can be a problem. If it only happens every once in awhile, however, please rest assured, similar things happen to most of us. Worst case, log out, reset modem, reboot computer, and log back in. If you have a rockin' computer and connection, and things still don't work, SL is just having a bad day.

I had this same issue a few times in 3 years in SL. Try going to advanced menu. Click on Character, then character tests and chose either test male or test female according to what you are in SL. this will reset you back to a noobie skin. Reload your shape and skin and the clothing you desire. This has usually worked for me. Good luck.
