0 Dias Alderson
Ok .. Let's take it from the start. The problem occured when I moved to Viewer 2 2.1.0 first and 2.1.1 later In fact it doesn't crash .. it just kicks me out that message : "Darn you've been logged out ..." It doesn't happen with the old Viewer and it happens randomly .. sometimes pretty fast , sometimes a lil bit later it mostly happens in crowdy places and there is something like a symptom streaming music stops first most of the times in that stage I can restart that by pause and play back but anyway after some mins I mostly get kicked out and it happens standing, sitting, walking ... I turned firewalls etc off but no change some more clues: Second Life 2.1.1 (208043) Aug 12 2010 14:14:07 (Second Life Release) Release Notes CPU: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (2400.01 MHz) Memory: 2047 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit Service Pack 2 (Build 6002) Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Graphics Card: GeForce 9500 GT/PCI/SSE2 Windows Graphics Driver Version: 8.17.0012.5896 OpenGL Version: 3.3.0 libcurl Version: libcurl/7.20.1 OpenSSL/0.9.8j zlib/1.2.3 J2C Decoder Version: KDU Audio Driver Version: FMOD version 3.740000 Qt Webkit Version: 4.6 (version number hard-coded) Voice Server Version: Vivox 3.1.0001.8821 Built with MSVC version 1400 Packets Lost: 249/307,006 (0.1%)

0 Suspiria Finucane
The GeForce 9500 GT is a low/medium end card.. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?cpu=GeForce+9500+GT It may be possible the new upgrade pushed it over the limit. Also, have you set your graphics preferences to the lowest possible setting before you logged in?

0 Ravin Draconia
I've got the same card, nVidia 9500GT and it ran v2.1.2 at High setting with no problem. I used the Snowstorm Project's builds as they were released up to build 208526 with the Starlight skin installed. I ahd some issues with some of the builds, but those were related to the llkdu.dll file and were relatively easy to resolve by replacing it with one from a functioning build. I had the settings on Custom and had the sliders set to the first notch into High, draw distance at 128m and Particles set to 2048. In other words, its likely not your video card. 0 Ravin Draconia
As I posted above, I gave the Snowstorm Project's builds a run for about 3 weeks. Frankly, V2 truly sucks without the Starlight skin, which was put together by residents, by the way. I've now gone back to a TPV, Phoenix. V2 has its pluses, most notably the Multiple Attachments and the Paste as Link functions. The GUI can be learned. But it is not as easy to use as the 1.** GUI. Surprisingly, the biggest loss I found was the loss of the Set Not Busy button. The loss of the pie menu was simply inconvenient. I think that is the biggest problem with V2, its features are simply not convenient. When I switched to Phoenix the very first two things I saw was that my clothing and attachments attached way faster and the scene rezzed extremely fast compared to V2. I also gained 5 FPS. I also now have back a built in AO and Radar (I missed those from when I was using Emerald), the minimap is much better detailed, built in translator in chat, spell checker for chat, notecards, notices and all and the command in chat function. I have gladly given up multiple attachments to gain those back. 0 Eve Greymoon
Second Life requires a stable connection and can't handle much packet loss unlike some other internet activities. Try these steps when the problem occurs: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_do_I_check_for_packet_loss_%28network_lag%29%3F At least that way you'll have eliminated your connection as the issue. 0 Dias Alderson
Ok .. I tried the first alternative .. Ascent .. and it's working with no problem.. though.. I really prefer Viewer 2 .. so, what next?
0 Faubio Alter
???? You had a problem it is solved so have a good Second Life. Hehehehehehe Of course you could go back to using viewer 2 if you like. :-)
0 Faubio Alter
I had a temporary problem with packet loss and tried that suggestion and found it useless. Viewer 2 unlike previous viewers has fixed, non-flexible adjustments (100, 200, 300, It uses whole numbers in increments.) so it can not use this solution effectively if it did work. 0 Dias Alderson
Sorry but, moving to another viewer wasn't the purpose of the original post :-)
0 Dias Alderson
I tested Phoenix Viewer and it works flowless but that's not my point for some reasons I want to use Viewer 2 any suggestions to that?
0 Faubio Alter
No one here has a suitable work around for you except the one given, a different viewer. Only SL itself can help you with the original problem. Make out a new JIRA or vote for the JIRA you are aware of for the problem. You want something that the forums can not provide. Use Kirstens S20 (35) viewer based on Viewer 2 available from http://www.kirstensviewer.com/Downloads/Public%20Viewers/ It's the viewer 2 client with a number of modifications to make it better.
