Second life llDialog help

Recommended Posts

I really really need your help guys. This had happened to me last night and I don't know why and I can't figure out how to stop it. In the top left cornor there's a hud that I think has caused it and it's called ''What a **bleep**ty Attack Hud 6.0'', it is created by ''Ugleh Ulrik''. When I detach the hud the ''cubes'' in the top right won't stop appearing and they show a link to the ''MarketPlace''. Please tell me what all this means.

I'm not sure what that HUD is meant to do, but Ugleh has been a scripter in SL for a long time.  He writes pretty inventive scripts.  It looks like that particular one is stuck, though.  It's in a loop, asking the same question over and over again.  The solution is simply to detach the HUD. You should be able to do that by just right-clicking on it and selecting Detach.  If that doesn't work for some odd reason, open your inventory, find it there, and then right-click and detach. If that STILL doesn't work, then you're either wearing some other object with a stuck script or you have dropped it nearby.  Find it and either detach it, take it to inventory, or delete it, as appropriate.

If it is that HUD and if you really want it fixed, contact Ugleh and ask for his help.

How do I find it if I dropped it on the ground? for some reason it only happens in the one place I am at.

Build->Linksets

That produces a list of objects on the sim. CLick the "Owner" column heading and the list will sort by owner name. Find yoursel find the list and select anything you see that shouldn't be there, like the HUD that's causing trouble. At the bottom of the window, you'll see buttons for "Teleport me to it" and "Take". Take may be dimmed if you are not close enough, so teleport to the object and then take it. Once it's in inventory, you can discard it.

Build is in the viewer's menu bar. Linksets is one of the menu items.

In Firestorm, it's one level deeper in Build->Pathfinding->Linksets. That also works for the SL Viewer.
