What is the purpose of the "Block Parcel Fly Over" that has appeared in the Region/Estate tools "Region" tab recently.

The most recent upgrade added a viewer check box to extend parcel entry limits to a higher ceiling (World > Region Details > Region > Block parcel fly over): when checked, extends access checks vertically to prevent parcel flyover

that sounds a terrible option. unless it dont block verhicles like planes.

oh, that's AWFUL! Aviation is hard enough as it is.

If I had to guess (and I do), I would imagine that LL gets a lot of pressure from residents in skyboxes who get grieved by people flying through or holding high-altitude air battles. Unless I am misreading things, since this is a region-level control, it can only be accessible to a sim owner and only applied to an entire sim, not to individual parcels selectively.
