"Aha! That's what it's about. You entered a ficticious date of birth that makes you too young for adult places. Or maybe you entered the correct date of birth and the correct one means you are too young to go to adult places. If it was ficticious, you broke the rules and it is your fault. If it was the correct date, you cannot go to adult places."

Ah, here we have it...now this sounds like you are not 18 in RL, is that correct? And now you want to change your birthdate to get into sims with a rating that prevents teenagers to enter. Sorry, but the apperance of your avatar has absolutly no effect how suited some kind of content is for the user behind the keyboard.

Adult sims can contain anything from virtual nudity to RL porn.

On your other complains: Second Life is not a daycare center, sounds harsh, but how good your experiance will be depends a lot on how independend you are, how well you do with reading, researching and solving problems on your own. The support is for billing issues and other serious problems with an account and not for handeling minor problems that can be solved by yourself. For every problem there is a solution, which you can find if you do your research on the internet or the knowledge base.

I don't go to the adult sims. You want to go there. Who's the sinner? ;)

Yes it is important to SL.

Because there are laws, whether we or Linden Lab agrees with them or not, Linden Lab has to comply with.

We may not like it, but if they don't comply then there will be no Second Life.

If you deleted your account yourself and LL didn't ban it, you can request that it be reactivated.  This will not solve your DOB problem, that is a separate issue.  After your account is reactivated, you would need to file another support ticket for that giving a truthful reason as to why you gave the wrong DOB to begin with.  If LL doesn't believe your story as to why you gave the wrong DOB than you and your alts may be banned from SL for life , particularly if you gave a DOB that makes you under 18.  You will need to submit RL documentation of you RL age, and should offer to do that in your support ticket.  If LL doesn't ban you for not giving true information to start with, they will tell you what proof they want to see and how to send it.

Re-activating a canceled account

If you have cancelled your account, you may be able to restore it, depending on how long ago it was cancelled. There is a US$9.95 reactivation fee for restoring an account.

32px-KBwarning.png Warning: Even if your account is restored, the associated inventory, land, and Linden dollar balance may be unrecoverable.

To start the process:

  1. Open a support case.
  2. Under What type of problem are you having? choose Account Issue.
  3. Choose Reactivate an old account.
  4. Enter the required information
  5. Click Submit.

Problem is they will ask some questions to verify ownership and if he can't remember the Birthdate, answer to secret questions, etc, etc, he entered he may be out of luck.

I've never done it but I don't think they blindly send a reset link to the E Mail registerred to the account.  But I could be wrong on that.
