You do not get your money at the moment of your purchase. I don't know why do you think you would get it right away. You get 1000L for being a premium member for 45 days and you get a weekly stipend, which you get at a certain day (I think it was Tuesday) of each week.

Because you just purchased a premium account.

You recieve Lindens in two ways when you hold a premium account. The first is a weekly stipend of $300L, which is delivered directly into your account every Tuesday. Today is Friday. You will recieve your first weekly $300L on Tuesday, September 2nd. 

The second is a one-time, $1,000L sign-up bonus. Sign-up bonus is a misnomer, though. It's really a continuous membership bonus, which you will not receive until you have been a premium account holder for 45 consecutive days. You should receive it around mid-October.
