Selling an item

Hello,

I am working on creating an item to sell on xstreet. I bought a full perm animation to put in my item. My question is, if I sell my product as a copy, modify only, will whoever buys my item be able to open it, copy its contents to their inventory, and just hand out the full perm animation to others? I am asking this because I don't want to get into any trouble with the creator of the animation because I was selling my item where others can access the animation and distribute it to others. Thanks.

You would need to set it to No Transfer in order to keep someone from selling or giving the item to someone else.

Thanks for the reply.  So to make it No Transfer, do I just check the copy and modify tabs and leave Transfer unchecked in the item properties?

Then click on the contents tab and use the permissions there to set all the scripts and animations to the same Copy, Modify.  If you put a full perm animation in a box that is No Transfer, yes, they can drag it out and transfer it. So you need to also set the contents.

Just be happy you are doing this now that we have that option. Used to be you had to remember to do as you put scripts in, or go through every prim in an object and check.
