Since installing SL 2.0 there is a white orb over everyone's head...

Since installing SL 2.0 there is a white orb over everyone's head. Can someone tell me what this is? What benefit it might be? What purpose...?

And especially, LOL... is there a way to turn it off?!

That means you have voice enabled.  The people with white orbs over their heads also have voice enabled.  To get rid of the orb (assuming you don't want to use voice) go to Preferences and disable it.

You may want to leave it enabled.  If you disable voice, you can't hear what other people are saying...you don't even know WHICH people have voice on.

I'm not a frequent voice user...but I want to hear others who are.  (unless they are one of the inconsiderate types who leave their microphone hot all the time)
