so im online today working on a few things and i crash and now it says LOGIN FAILED SECONDLIFE CANNOT BE ACCESSED FROM THEIS COMPUTER

OK so whats that mean i did the ticket thing and they say im not in trouble they dont know why it is saying that anyone got a idea

Same here, having same problem, getting message (you cannot access second life from this computer) i called the Lindens they told me to submit a ticket, i did and nothing happened till now, and i still can not access sl, and this is really bad as i have tier to pay and committments i cant fullfil if i am not in.

I had the same issue & after doing some research, I reset my cable router & viola I logged in.  I'm not sure if that was the problem, but it seemed to help me.

Just found this and for information to the community:

During the last weeks I had multiple occurences where a reset of the router solved login, teleport and voice problems. It seems that routers have some mechanism to update their internal firewall and at certain times lock ports - I have no idea about the reason.

So take your routers off for a minute (thats the time you need to clear cache - so you can do in parallel).

In this order, try:

Wait, sometimes the servers have problems, only wait a few hours at most.

Check the Second Life grid status for logon problems.

Retype your user name and password makeing sure the spelling is correct.

Try logging on at

On login screen take this path. In top left hand corner of screen, click, edit > perferances > in the general tab, click the box that says "show start location on login screen" click apply, click OK. Now you have something new on your login screen. Click the down arrow and choose "home", or "last location" or type "Violet" (Any region you can remember will do, if you remember the regions name spelling exactly) in the "type region name" selection. Try all three if you need to.

Your firewall should be set to "outbound access only" for the Second Life program.

Reset your modem.

part of the reason people are not answering is you are posting to threads that are months old; your problem tends to get buried when you do that.  Starting a new thread, listing the exact error message will likely get more replies.

as far as the ticket goes, support is behind in dealing with tickets atm but you're reply from them will happen in time.

Actually the thread you are replying to is relating a problem that is entirely different from yours.

The reason you can't login is because the servers are having issues atm  : )    it'll be fixed doon
