help when i have my graphis up on high in emrald my water turns black any ideas

firstly, does emrald object to you having it up so much?

secondly, have you been drinking too much blackcurrant juice?

thirdly, did you try pulling the plug out and running fresh in?

no it does not object i runs fine just i have black water when i have both atmosphere shaders and wanter reflect on. and what plug are you taking about

No, I don't know what the problem is although it's similar to one I had a way back till I bought a better graphics card.

Till then perhaps just turn your settings down a bit?

It has to do with your graphics card and it's ability to handle all that rendering of textures.  If I have World of  Warcraft and Photoshop open then launch SL, some of my stuff renders as black.sometimes it will eventuallly correct itself.
