How to stop Camera Controls from closing?

I rely on using the mouse on the camera controls 100%, as I have the use of only one hand I can't use the mouse-keyboard combinations. Now in the old viewer the camera controls would stay open all the time, wherever I put them. In viewer 2, the camera controls closes again every time I click elsewhere on the screen. Is there any way to make them stay on the screen? It is making Viewer 2 nearly impossible for me to use.

On the same topic is there any way to open both the Pan and Orbit controls at the same time?

Make them smaller?

Tear the control off the taskbar and it will remain open

this is my biggest problem with the new viewer, I also use the camera controls a great deal, switch back and forth to pan and rotate is HORRIBLE, I wish they would make them both accessable at the same time like the old one!

Agreed, it is pretty obivious the new UI design was not done by someone who used SL a lot, especially to build.

Kirsten Lee's version of Viewer 2 (which is on the "approved" list of Third Party Viewers) has the old-style camera controls, with the Orbit and Pan side by side. Those people strugging with the seperate ones might find this version better.
