Stuck items on avatar?

This keeps happening to me- i wear at item (shirt, panties, etc.) and than an item or 2 that i took off is still on me. I tried using the "Take off clothing" drop down menu, but the clothes still stick. One bikini top even stayed after i deleted it from my inventory. Can anyone help me fix this?

Sometimes clothing needs a little help to finally change or disappear.  Two ways seem to work.  First you can do a rebake  (Ctrl-Alt D for Advanced menu and then Ctrl-Alt R to rebake)    I've also found that if you Edit Appearence, your avatar will usually correct clothing problems.

Of course edit appearance will fix it, too, because it issues a texture rebake.

i tried doing both, but there is one picky item that still sticks. Do you think it could be a problem with my computer or internet?

What item?

Are you sure is a item you "worn"? Maybe is a item "drawn" in your skin.

It is an item i got as a freebie. Its a mesh undershirt. I have a furry skin that has NOTHING to do with the worn clothes. And it is even on the new skinks i try on, in my inventory it shows up as worn, but it will not be taken off.

Try the following process:

1. Access and wear a default avatar.
2. Re-wear your normal shape, skin, clothes, and attachments. This step is much easier if you are using a pre-existing saved outfit, but remember not to save anything before your avatar is restored!.

Go to Appearance - Edit Outfit - highlight the item and use X (in front of it) and remove it.
