If you don't have time to sell your land, you can always abandon it.  Stand in the land and open World >>> About Land >>> General.  Click Abandon Land.   You will lose the land immediately.  You will not be paid for it.  Please remember to pick up all of your posessions before you abandon land.

To be sure that you do not have any other land, go to your dashboard at secondlife.com >>> Land Manager.  Check all categories, including group-owned land, to be sure that you have not forgotten anything.  If you own land for even one second during a billing period, you will be charged land fees for the entire period.
