Spaceships as a mobile house?

Question

  • 0

Yes you would still have to own the land even if you live in a ship or skybox.  That's because the land prim (object) count extends all the way to space and a land owner is likely to remove any objects from their land(and sky) that do not belong.   Could you find someplace that doesn't care? Perhaps.  But most likely your spaceship will park in the wrong spot and get returned to your inventory.  There are other constraints to living is an actual moving vehicle because the avatar has to sit on or in the vehicle for it to move.  If you parked and left the vehicle, that is when it is most likely to disappear back into your inventory.

If you are over land it counts as prims on that land, so yes, you would need land to have it rezzed. A lot of people use skyboxes of one sort or another for privacy so that someone doesn't come walking in. Good luck

Unless all the items are link together, they would be returned to your inventory as separate objects.  So you would have to redecorate everytime.  And it is not always possible to link everything because of distance, phantom prims and scripted objects.
