Good question.  "It" (the LindeX) will charge you a fixed fee of $0.30 per transaction regardless of the amount of L$ you purchase.  If you bought through another exchange, they may have a higher fee schedule.  If you paid with a currency other than USD, you may have had a currency enchange fee from your credit card or PayPal.  If you are in Europe, you may have had VAT added to your purchase.  If none of those apply and you can't figure it out from your Account Statement on your dashboard at secondlife.com, try calling the Lindan Lab billing office.  If you have a non-technical issue related to billing concerns, you can call the Linden Lab billing team at the following toll-free numbers at any time 24/7:
