I still can't change my email to recieve my offline IM's..Why???

I went to the web page ww.secondlife.com to Contact Information and i added my email and my password so i could get my offline IM's..but it says : 

We are unable to complete your request.
Password incorrect.
I added my email password and my Second life passwrod and its not working..I dont know why. Please help!!!

Hi Aliciain,

I think you are entering your e-mail account password in the "Current Password" box on the Contact page. The wording could certainly be clearer, but you are supposed to enter your SL account password there. That's the password you used to log into the website and the viewer.

Never enter your e-mail password anywhere other than on your e-mail provider's log-in page or your e-mail application's account setup page. There is no reason for Linden Lab to know your e-mail password. To send you e-mail, LL only needs your e-mail address.

I did enter my sl password and it doesnt work...it still says I have incorrect password..i dont know why does it say that...weird anyways
