Login failed

Has any one else got the msg when they try to log in Login failed limiting logins i mean i have been trying all day and have not been abule to get in if any one can help please do

Just stied to log in to sl, same for me - 'linited log ins'.  BUT I tried my alt & that was fine - strange!

[updated 01:09 PM PDT 20 May 2014] Logins are being partially throttled to permit inventory and in world services to synch up. If your login is declined with a “LOG IN FAILED, LIMITING LOG INS” message please wait a few minutes and try again. Once in world, inventory and TP services will be slow to respond at first.”

[updated 12:29 PM PDT 20 May 2014]  Logins are opening, but we’ll be monitoring the system for awhile before giving the ALL CLEAR.

If you attempt to login and appear to stall, please be patient and try riding your first login effort all the way in world. This will help keep the initial login surge down.

I had login fail too. It helped for me when I changed login location. Maybe a coincidence, but I am in :-)

Changing your location may make it possible to login but expect problems until the all clear without login restrictions or anything else is given. You may login and then be logged out after a period of time. You may crash when you try to teleport. Your inventory may not load or your friends list will be messed up. Days like today are happening periodiclly for a while now. A couple weeks with no issues then a week where shceduled and/or unscheduled maintenance is messing everything up. With how frequent this is happening I would guess LL knows something is wrong. They just aren't telling us.

I don't even try to login until an all clear is given.

Not all of us want stuck with a lastname that we can not change coby.  sorry I am not one who wants them back, I am already stuck with this.  display helped me fix that for the most part.

Well, as we know, actually there are lots of Firstname Lastname accounts which do have some crazy first name.

But even so at least last name was readable and understandable. :smileyhappy:

With the present single name system the number of the crazy, hard to read and hard to understand, names have increased exponentially.
