Winter Starlight
have a mesh door I bought putting scripts in door to move works well. when I add a mesh prim made in my name the door goes all wonky. leaves me to believe I need to add the prim to show the creation in my name at a certain point on said mesh door??Thanks in advance
Amethyst Jetaime
You should add the prim where the hinge would go on the door and put your door script in it. You can make it invisible or make it look like a hinge, your choice.
Chic Aeon
A mesh door need extra invisible geometry in order to work. Most door scripts rely on cutting a cube in half. There is related info on that here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Mesh/Change-Pivot-Point-of-Mesh/m-p/1078125/highlight/true#M6337 and most likely other spots If you are adding the door to a house you have made, the typical thing to do nowadays is link the door or doors to the house. I can't see why you need to have the door be "in your name" unless you are reselling the door, and perhaps you are. If THAT is the need, all the scenarios I run through do not work for one reason or another. Doesn't mean there is NO solution. The door needs to be the root prim in order for the script to work. If you just need to make the door work with your house, then look up some info on linking doors to the house and scripts that work for that. That DOES work with mesh doors made with extra geometry. Good luck.

Another means is to use the timeless door script - which can be found here - http://secondlife.mitsi.com/cgi/freescripts.plx?ID=893 It works very well and can be linked, however editing would be required to suit your needs
