You can/should use the templates available at http://secondlife.com/community/templates.php to create textures for clothing and skins. Edit: Okay, I just found out the download links on that page don't work for me any more. But you can optain the templates also inworld from the NCI freebie walls for instance... Edit 2: Now they work again... argh...
