Texture Size

What is the resolution/size needed for a texture so I can use it to color clothes etc. I uploaded one pic and it is apparently to large. Thanks in advance!

Default texture size is 512x512 pixels. You can/should use the templates available at http://secondlife.com/community/templates.php to create textures for clothing and skins.

Edit: Okay, I just found out the download links on that page don't work for me any more. But you can optain the templates also inworld from the NCI freebie walls for instance...
