I'm trying to incorporate a "movie night" at my sim. And I'm having lots of issues. I've bought many different tv's and screens, even attempted to direct parcel media way, building a prim and placing the media texture on it. So far only the tv's work. But even so, everyone seems to get the picture quick and fine. Mine, however, is slow on loafing and sometimes just doesn't load. Even tho everyone else sees it. I use wifi, and I assume it's that. But a few people here say they're on wifi as well, and they have no issues. My wifi is the best I could get as far as speed and connection. So I have no idea. And the texture prim way, just doesn't work at all, ever. For me that is. I usually get the tv going, stare at a black screen, while everyone else is enjoying themselves. So... Any help will be great. Thanks.

Make sure media is enabled in the viewer. (not your issue if it switches to a black screen)  **make sure enable plugins is checked off

1.Update flash  http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/   (If using Shared media prim)

2. Update Quicktime http://www.apple.com/ca/quicktime/download/   (If using parcel media)

3. Try watching a movie with your anti-virus and firewall disabled (Don't for get to turn back on)

4. Try streaming a video from the "tv" station in a external browser while SL is running (to check if your connection can handel both)

Hopefully one of those solves it.. i'd check after doing each..

Also the post made here may be helpfull to you aswell even if you are not using a Mac.. its far beond my techcinal know how. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/I-updated-Flash-and-Quicktime-on-my-Mac-still-no-image-from-my/qaq-p/2291915

Thanks very much. I've checked everything and updated.... Still doesn't seem to work. I did the external video play while running SL, and it worked fast and smooth. So I'm lost really. But I'm definitely not spending any more money on tv's.
