Hi Silar

I also use eemrald and have the voice disabled. I've enver had the same problem as you do, with it somehow becoming enabled again. I am assuming that you have disabled voice under Preferences as I have. I have also turned off the voice volume under the master volume control at the bottom right of the viewer.

Hope that helps.

  1. get official viewer from Lab, 1.23.4 or Snowglobe.
  2. open application with right click (or ctrl-click if you on apple laptop with one trackpad button) -> show package contents
  3. copy SLVoice libalut.dylib libllkdu.dylib libopenal.dylib libortp.dylib libvivoxsdk.dylib files from Contents/Resources folder to same folder in your emerald viewer app

  1. Open My Computer and go to "C:\Program Files\Second Life\".
  2. Find the following files: "alut.dll, ortp.dll, SLVoice.exe, vivoxsdk.dll".
  3. Select each of the files by holding down the ctrl key on your keyboard while clicking each file once.
  4. Right click on one of the selected files after selecting them and click copy.
  5. Now go to the folder "C:\Program Files\GreenLife Emerald Viewer".
  6. Right click on an empty place in that window and click paste.
  7. Open emerald and enjoy voice!
