Changing picture in profile

I read the instructions. You go to file and then upload and then Image. You select a picture file from the browse window and click open. Then you open your profile and left click on the picture. You select the picture you want and click Select. The new picture is displayed in the profile. Fine. Straight forward no problem. However if I close the profile and then reopen it the old picture is displayed. I've done the hard part. What is the easy part I am missing?

Are you clicking "ok" before you close it?

Think you forgot to hit the SAFE button

Is the pic full perms?

Try dragging the pic from your inventory to your profile then 'okay', if the other way isn't working.

Perhaps it's the wrong format, or oversized... thus rejected when you click 'okay'

As BankOf Ishelwood said, you must click OK! So if you close your profile by clicking the 'x', or cancel, it won't work.
