Ohjiro's advice is good.

But, without technical information about your computer we can't really answer your question.

When you ask a tech question include information about your computer and viewer. If the viewer will at least show the login screen, you can get the info from the viewer's Help-About... and paste that into your post with your question. Help->About... provides all the version numbers we need.  To add your info to an existing question use OPTIONS->EDIT. It’s in the upper right of your post.

It also helps to know if you are using a laptop or a desktop and a wired or wireless connection.

Without that information all we can do is guess. That means you have to try all our bad guesses and eliminate them one by one. This is easier for all of us, if you give us good information to start with.

Chances are that if Singularity is having a problem others viewers will too. Yours is not a problem common to Singularity. I encourage you to try another viewer as a debugging step for the problem. As a purely debugging step use the main SL Viewer. If you are going to get support from the TPV Dev or SL Support that is a 'must take' step.

Also, what you mean by textures flashing is unclear. Do they literally turn on and off? Do they render to full resolution and then reload going fuzzy and render again, repeatedly? These are different problems and are not viewer specific but computer and video card specific.
