Where have my items gone??!?!

What is going on?
I logged in this morning and several hundred items from my inventory have vanished into smoke!

Emptying cache/relogging doesn't work. I've now completely lost a sim-size build I spent months on for Relay for Life, and all the photos of it.

What can I do? Is this something temporary the Lindens can fix, or is this permanent and have I lost my items for good?

The problem is more than likely the Asset Servers,There has appearently been a problem that was supposed to have been fixed,I would imagine as soon as it is fixed you will see your items again.Don't worry too much.

This could still be a cache problem. Sometimes emptying the cache using the button in preferences doesn't really do it especially if you are switching back and forth from the official SL viewer to some alternate like Emerald. With SL off, find the location of the cache folder in preferences and then go to that folder and manually empty it. Some ppl have trouble finding it, so an alternative is to uninstall SL then do a file/folder search in windows on Second Life and delete all the files and folders that remain, then reinstall SL.
