I can't make another owner of my group. Is the owner limited ?

I was made owner of a group by the founder. The founder has left the group and now I want to make an alt also owner of this group for management reasons. But for some reason I can't make him owner. Can anyone explain to me why I can't make another owner ?

That's a puzzle.  It should be automatic, unless your alt neglected to join the group when receiving the invitation from you.

The alt is in the group but I can't click the owner box to anyone.

That's very wierd. A group owner can ALWAYS make another member an owner. Sounds like you have a bug. Submit a JIRA and be sure to include all the details of exactly which group it is so they can test it. Don;t forget to copy your own system specs from Help >> About into it.

If your ALT is already a member in the group, re-inviting them will not upgrade thier role.

You need to Edit Group / Members & Roles / Member / [select your ALT] / [X] the Owner Role permission

and then [important] accept the upgrade of your ALT to the Owner permission role.

Thai is weird..... I just tested this and it worked for me on my group. Since this is a in-world transaction selected in the viewer session I'd try to do a clean install of the latest version of the viewer. Deleting the Configuration .XML files during this process could do the trick.

The issue is that another owner isn't able to make it either. I guess considering your answers I shall have to make a ticket.

OKies - you are right to do so. It appears that you have a slightly corrupted group in the vast LL Asset database. I'm sure the kids at LL and get that sorted out.
