How do I get my inventory to load fully after yesterdays unscheduled maintenance?

After yesterdays unscheduled maintenance, where I was logged out for about 20 minutes, my inventory will not fully load.  I am missing 20K items.  Have I lost my stuff or is there a way to recover what was there before yesterday April 16th?

You didn't lose anything.  Your inventory is safe in SL's servers.  The list that your viewer uses is a local copy that is stored in cache on your own computer.  Your cache was apparently damaged, so that it is unreadable.  The solution is to delete it completely and force the viewer to download and create a new copy.  I advise doing that "manually" instead of just clicking the Clear Cache button in Preferences.  The "manual" method is more deliberate and reliable.  Here's how >>> http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_cache_clear

Those instructions were written by Firestorm staff, but they apply to any viewer (although you obviously don't look for the word "Firestorm".)  IMO, the most important sentence in those instructions is the one that says, "While inventory repopulates, do not teleport anywhere, and do not attempt to access anything in your inventory."  Just be patient.
