Exporting objects in Firestorm... HALP

I recently found out you can export a linkset from firestorm onto your hard drive as a .dae file. I'm wanting to take my main store from firestorm into maya to make changes and reimport the build as mesh instead of prims. I tested it with a linkset created and owned by me and when I chose to export from the pie menu it only let's me export as an .oxp file? WTF is an .oxp file!? I googled it and found no info and can't import this file into maya or any other 3d program I have so can someone please help me? :< I just want to revamp my damn store lol D:

Lexi, try this instead, with your object selected in edit mode - go to the the menu up top, point to "Build->object->save as->collada"

you can do it easily with singularity viewer.

i've tried recently with firestorm and it worked fine, but i only did one time, so i dont know it really well.

but i can tell you it works fine with singularity viewer.

Thank you for the replies!!! I figured it out Had to update firestorm to the newest beta and now it's working perfectly YAY.

I tried, to export simple prims, which all was made by myself, as a collada by firestorm, but it didn´t work. Only an export as oxp-file is possible. all other failed, even, when i tried it with a simple cube. Whats wrong? are there some settings, i have to do before?

I have never seen or heard of that export option, just collada or object.

 

ETA I just read the older posts above, explains all.
