Is there even a tiny chance to ever make a "lightweight" version of sort..?

Hello Taira. You may try a third party viewer and see which works for your PC, such as Singularity, or RainbowCool Viewer wich are less demanding than the official SL viewer or Firestorm.

Rainbow SSE2 optimized version:

Rainbow SSE version for older hardware (PII, Athlon XP):

Was Rainbow ever updated to accommodate server side baking (or to see mesh, come to that)? I don't think Boy Lane has done much with it since the middle of 2011.

If you provide us with details of your computer system, we may be able to suggest upgrades.  That might cost less than buying a whole new computer.

Radegast makes a version that offers 3D view and other aspects and uses very few resources from your computer.
