Having an incredibly frustrating time trying to update my profile picture, it absolutely will not work. My partner was scripting an online indicator that would show online status (obviously) as well as a profile picture of the person. She made one for herself and one for me, hers worked fine, mine did not, as it showed my status but nothing but a blank white square for my image.

I use a third party viewer (singularity), that I believe uses an older version of SL's UI. I tried uploading a different picture in the viewer, and it showed for me, but my partner couldn't see it, the online indicator didn't show it, and when I viewed my web profile, it showed a broken image tag, so I figured singularity was causing the issue. Using the website, I replaced my profile picture, this time my partner could see it, but it still refused to show in her indicator.

I tried removing the image completely, and then uploading a fresh one, and when I did that, the image showed up for a few seconds, and then went right back to being blank. At this point I am getting incredibly frustrated, I have tried uploading a new image using Firestorm, the default SL viewer, singularity, the second life website, nothing has worked.

The only other piece of information I can provide, is the issue seems to only happen for this specific account. I used my alt account who had no profile picture, uploaded one via the SL website, and his picture immediately popped up when my partner set up his indicator. Why this one is so messed up, I have no idea, can anyone help me?

I don't see a pic on your profile at all, which is probably why it's not showing up in the indicator.  If you see a pic on it, it could be that, for some reason, the system is having difficulty processing your pic and you may have to give it some time to do so.  If it's not acting correctly by tomorrow, you might have to file a ticket.

Sorry, I had removed my picture again when trying something out. I have one reuploaded now (uploaded from the website), are you able to see it?

Also how would I go about opening a ticket? I found the area of the site to contact support, but there was no category that even remotely fit the issue I'm having.

Yeah, I see it now, you may still want to wait a while before you file a ticket.  To file a ticket you click on "Submit a Support Case".  I would file it under Account Issue/Change Account Details, then just describe what's happening where it tells you to.  I'm unsure if these options are available to non-premium members, so if you aren't premium and don't see them, it's probably because they're not.  At which point, I honestly don't know what to tell you to do.

But, I will say that as long as you can see your pic and others can as well, I really wouldn't worry about it not showing up in the indicator right now... you never know, tomorrow it may.

I guess, at this point I've given up. I did finally figure out why it's not working, but I still don't know the cause. The script seems to get all its info from the url http://world.secondlife.com/resident/<user key>, of course appending the user's key to the end to get their information. Even though you can clearly see my picture on my profile, for some reason my pic only appears intermittently on my page here. http://world.secondlife.com/resident/eb226d88-4c50-46fe-a81b-9678d41d375c . I don't know what in the world would be causing my pic to randomly disappear and reappear, but it's not something I can do anything about.

And yeah, those options don't appear for me (i'm a free member) so I guess i'm out of luck.
