I have spam messages to delete without opening

my IM box is full of SPAM messages, how can I delete them without opening them? Or is it possible to do a  " DELETE ALL" ? I'm afraid if I open even one it will trigger them to send more even though I filed complaint,and had them stopped now for 1 month..

Opening an IM will NOT "put you on a mailing list" or anything like that. 

Besides, there are not all THAT many of them...your incoming IMs and notices are capped at a maximum of 25.  So it's not all that hard to delete them.

You can leave groups that are too chatty for your taste, or you can opt out of getting their notices in the group info window.

If you are getting these messages from an individual, you can select Block in their profile.  This will prevent them from sending you items, IMs, or even local chat.  This is much more effective than filing an Abuse Report.

Ok thank you Lindal I will open them and delete them. I couldn't block them because every one of them are from a different NEW account but linked to the same website.
