How does one give linden dollars as a gift to someone else?

I would like to know how I can gift another player on here my linden dollars. Please help me out.

You can always give L$ to another SL resident by opening the person's profile and clicking the Pay button.  If the person is standing right next to you, you can get to her profile by right clicking on her av or her name tag.  If she's in your Friends list, you can open her profile from there.  You could also find her in Search.  Some of those options give you a choice of clicking PAY without opening her profile too (Right -clicking on her av, for example), and there is a PAY option in the IM window if you are in an IM conversation with the person.

You need to be logged in to SL to send L$, but the other person doesn't need to be, so you can send L$ and it will be there the next time she logs in.  Please always double check before you send money, though, to be sure that you are sending it to the right person.  Some names are similar.  Once you have sent L$, you cannot change your mind.  You'll only get it back again if the other person is kind enough to return it.
