My avatar will fully rez but why can i not see anyone else's skin? everyone else's skin is grey

my avatar fully rez's mesh rez's for me and all but i can not see any other avatars skin i only see grey,  i can see the colors of their clothing, but i can not see their skin what so ever... on any other avatar at all . it is very miserable world to live in when you can not see anyone and everyone around you is a grey zombie ...PLEASE HELP ME!

What viewer and what version are you using?  If you are using a viewer that has not been updated to support Server Side Appearance (SSA) avatars won't rez for you.

Also, that graphics card is very weak for Second Life.  You should very seriously think about upgrading your computer, especially the graphics, to something that uses at least 512 MB of graphics memory.

That's sounds like the classic symptoms of an HTTP texture fetching problem.   See http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/http_fetching_issues

And, yes, Lindal is right.  That graphics card is old, woefully underpowered, and way short on memory.
