A Better Way to Search the Marketplace

Tired of looking for items on the Marketplace only to end up with pages of results unrelated to what you were looking for? And they tell us the marketplace search engine isn't gamed. Well, there is a much better way to search:

go to Google, and in the search bar type: site:marketplace.secondlife.com

With a space after it type your search term, eg: site:marketplace.secondlife.com skins

This will bring up the standard Google list of sites, so I click images and voila!, pages of relevant search results. Better get the link while you can since I am not sure how long the Lindens will allow this thread to continue.

I personally see no issues with this post... You have informed people a different way to search the market place, which still brings traffic to their pages, and everyone loves traffic.

 

(Someone who would have had no reason to search the market place would try this method out, which is an extra counter, so it's encouraging traffic, and everyone loves traffic...)

Been doing pretty much that for years.

Use Googles Advanced Search page though  http://www.google.co.uk/advanced_search?hl=en

Scroll down a bit and you get the site/domain restriction

also the phrase and exclude these words options are pretty useful too
