Crashing Viewers when uploading images and uploading mesh. (Mac)

Question

Hello Charlotte,

when I read Whirly's comments in your Jira correctly, this is a Firestorm-specific bug in the current public beta 4.5.1 (38838).

So either use an older version of Firestorm that didn't have the bug, or use another viewer until this gets fixed (e.g. use the official V3 from http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/ when you want to upload images).

I have the same problem. I also am using a MAC.  MartinRJ Fayray has not read your post properly as the same thing happens with the SL viewer.  I have also tried Firestorm and the inWorldz viewer in InWorldz and get the same result.

My MAC is running:

 System Version: OS X 10.10.1 (14B25)

Kernel Version: Darwin 14.0.0

Which is not the same as yours, so it is hard to see where the fault could be coming from.

Yep, that workaround worked for me too..

1. Login

2. Open Inventory-> + -> Upload -> Image

3. Switch view mode to either List or Columns

4. Cancel the Finder window

5. Exit the viewer

6. Relaunch the viewer

Uploaded with no crash.
