Can someone explain why my request to purchase Lindens was denied?

Well,  Linden Lab does not accept most prepaid and gift cards as valid payment methods.  You need to use a major credit card or a PayPal account that is "verified" (backed up by) a major credit card.

If you do have a major credit card such as Visa or Master Card and these are getting declined, you need to contact your Credit Card Provider (NOT SL!). I have both credit cards, and for some reason, my Visa kept getting denied. I called Linden Lab and they told me to contact my Credit Card Provider. 

The issue was easily sorted out though I prefer now to pay using Master Card anyway x3
